Under the guidance of the Most Venerable Master Hsing Yun the founder of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist monastic order as well as the layperson-based Buddha's Light International Association , venerable  Hui Fang ,the Abbot of Nan Hua Temple in South Africa, established the nan hua performing arts group in 2014. This is a free charity education project.

This group aims empower young black South African women to enter the performing arts arena.

“Black is the most beautiful color in the world! “This is what Master Hsing Yun said to us when nan hua performing arts group met him  at Fo Guang Shan in the first time in year 2015.

Master told us: Let the world see Africa through the platform of performing arts.

Bringing joy, hope and strength to people through performances.

In the big family of Nan hua Temple and Fo Guang Shan, we continue to learn and grow.

The ultimate goal of nan hua performing arts group is to provide girls with practical life skills and knowledges that can enable them to attain economic independence and become active members of society.

Education is the key to empowering girls with the ability to make informed choices, access resources, and make positive contributions to their communities.

Emphasize the importance of lifelong learning and aim to foster a culture of continuous education beyond formal schooling.

This involves promoting skill development and creating opportunities for lifelong learners to acquire new knowledge and adapt to changing societal needs.

​Nan Hua Performing Arts Group through the online teaching courses (drum/performance/Mandarin Chinese...) to create opportunities for all the people over the world and you can also find the stepping stone for getting into the arts and culture field and achieving your dream as a performer and get more opportunity of your life.

 We hope that through multi-cultural engagement we can broaden their horizons and create opportunities for them.

In this current year the Nan Hua Performing Arts Group, the Kids Arts Training Course together with all the charitable organization within the schools, donations and the Persons with Disabilities Program had been running smoothly and with good results.
